Cordillera Blanca ( Spanish: Cordillera Blanca , literally “white mountain range”) is the highest mountain range in the Western Cordillera of the Andes of Peru . It is part of the interoceanic divide between the Santa and Maranhon river basins.

The ridge extends parallel to the Pacific coast from 8 ° 40 ′ to 10 ° south latitude. Its length is 180 km.
