Serbian Highlands

Serb Highlands are highlands in the northwest of the Balkan Peninsula , between the valleys of the Lim rivers in the west and South Morava in the east ( Serbia ). In the south adjoins the basin of Kosovo field .

The highlands include several short, mostly flat-topped ridges and massifs : Zlatibor , Zlatar , Chemerno , Golia , Kopaonik , Yastrebats , Radan , Kukavitsa . The manifestations of karst are common . Oak , beech and coniferous forests grow in the highlands. There are deposits of polymetallic ores . Also here is the Kopaonik National Park .
