Biography
Born April 1, 1829 in Königsberg , the son of Lieutenant General Count Karl von Lendorff .
He entered the Prussian military service in 1848. In 1859 he was promoted to captain.
In 1866, he took part in the Austro-Prussian war , for the distinction he was appointed an aide-adjutant.
In 1870-1871 he fought against the French , in 1871 he was promoted to colonel.
March 22, 1876 was promoted to major general with admission to the retinue of the German emperor and appointment as commander of the Prussian Life Gendarmerie.
In 1881 he was promoted to lieutenant general and appointed adjutant general of Emperor Wilhelm I. In 1888 he received the rank of general from infantry.
In 1894 he received the honorary title of Proferger of Prussia and became a member of the Prussian Supreme Chamber.
In 1891, the Russian Emperor Alexander III awarded Lendorf with the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky .
He died on April 24, 1905 at Preil Castle in East Prussia.
