Andijk ( Dutch: Andijk ) is a village and former community in the Netherlands , on the IJsselmeer Lake. Since January 1, 2011, it has been administratively assigned to the Medemblik community in the West Friesland region of the province of North Holland . Area - 47.69 km². The population for 2004 was 6423 people [1] .

The name “Andeik” comes from the Dutch word “ aan de dijk ”, which means “on the dam”. In 1667, a small church was built in the village.
Andeyk has fertile clay soils, which are used for gardening and agriculture . The village is an important supplier of drinking water for the region.
