Geography
Dalan is located 35 km northeast of Metz . Neighboring communes: Remeren in the northeast, Mertan in the east, Falk in the southeast, Argartan-o-Ming in the south, Tetershan in the west, Brettnash and Tromborn in the northwest.
History
- Commune of the former Duchy of Lorraine .
- The fortified house of the Dukes of Lorraine, mentioned for the first time in 1303. From 1620 it belonged to the Counts d'Arocourt, and from 1751 until the French Revolution - Choiselle-Beaupre.
