History
The Ministry in its current form was born in 2003 in the office of Ivo Sanadera , as a result of the merger of the former Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education and Sports. Both ministries were originally formed in 1990, although they changed their structure and names several times during the 1990s.
Ministers of Science (1990-2003)
From 1990 to 1992, the first three ministers held the title of Minister of Science, Technology and Computer Science.
In August 1992, the ministry was renamed the Ministry of Science and Technology, the name remained unchanged until 2003.
Ministers of Education (1990-2003)
Between 1990 and 1993, the Ministry was called the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. In April 1993, it was renamed the Ministry of Culture and Education. In October 1994, the Ministry was divided into today's Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Sports. This form remained unchanged until 2003.
