Orbit
The planet revolves around the red dwarf Gliese 667 C at a distance of 0.12 AU, its orbital period is 28.1 ± 0.5 Earth days.
Characteristics
The minimum mass of the planet is 3.8 Earth masses [1] [2] . Taking into account the fact that the radius of the effective earth orbit in this system is only 0.114 AU, the temperature regime of the planet is probably very close to the temperature regime of the Earth. A simulation of the Laboratory of Planetary Viability at the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo shows that the average near-surface temperature of the atmosphere will be about 300 K (27 ° C) if the planet has an atmosphere similar to that of the Earth with a greenhouse effect due to the presence of 1% CO 2 and with an albedo of 0.3. According to calculations, the effective temperature will be 246 K (-27 ° C) with an albedo like that of the Earth (0.36) [3] . For comparison: the effective temperature of the Earth is 249 K, or −24 ° C.
The planet receives about 90% of the energy that the Earth receives from the Sun [2] . Almost certainly the planet is in tidal capture, i.e. turned to its star with only one side.
Living Conditions
If the inclination of its orbit is not too small and, accordingly, the mass is not too large, then the greenhouse effect created by a rather dense atmosphere, quite possibly creates sufficiently comfortable conditions on the surface of the planet for the existence of primitive life forms [4] .
