The Ministry of Agriculture and Urban Development of Colombia is the national ministry of the executive government of Colombia, responsible for managing and overseeing the development of rural and agricultural areas of Colombia.

Functions
The main functions of the Ministry of Agriculture: to formulate policies for the development of agriculture, fisheries and rural development sectors. Managing the development of plans, programs and projects necessary for the development of these sectors, especially the rural areas of the country. The Ministry must submit plans and programs within the framework of the National Development Plan and prepare and submit bills to the Colombian Congress related to these sectors. The Ministry of Agriculture should determine its participation in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international negotiations related to these sectors. The ministry also has the right to create, organize, form, and empower, through resolutions, the responsibilities of internal working groups and advise these groups within the framework of the principles previously established.
