Biography
Born in Italy. Came from a family of scientists. The son of the historian and art critic Dmitry Antonovich , the grandson of the historian and archaeographer Vladimir Antonovich . Brother, Mark Antonovich (1916-2005) - Ukrainian Canadian historian and public figure.
Graduated from Ukrainian Free University in Prague . In 1930 he defended his dissertation on the theme "Prince Repnin, Governor General of Saxony." In 1935-1941, a researcher at the Ukrainian Scientific Institute in Berlin . He taught at the universities of Breslau and Vienna , assistant professor at the University of Vienna.
The author of a number of works on the history of Ukraine, Ukrainian colonization and the history of the Cossacks .
In 1945 he was arrested in Berlin and deported to the USSR . Contained in the camps of Norilsk and Kolyma . Killed in Kayerkan camp.
