Orin Nur ( Chinese 鄂陵湖 ) is a lake in China , in Qinghai province, in the northeast of the Tibetan plateau .

The lake is located at an altitude of 4237 m. Its length is 40 km, width - 30 km. The Yellow River flows through Orin Nur. The lake is rich in fish .
For the first time, Lake Orin-Nur was explored by the Russian traveler Nikolai Przhevalsky in 1884 , and named it Russian Lake [1] .
