The young Raphael , who arrived in Florence in 1504 , had a positive influence on Fra Bartolommeo. In turn, Raphael became acquainted with the creative experience of a much more mature Fra Bartolommeo, especially with regard to color. Until the end of life, both masters were bound by close friendship.
Fra Bartolommeo died in 1517 in Florence. Most of his works are located in Florence, especially in the Palazzo Pitti Gallery: the image of Mark the Evangelist and the Resurrection. Both paintings are distinguished by the elevation of the concept and the beauty of the performance. The Fra Bartolommeo frescoes are kept in the Florentine Academy, his “ Madonna della Misericordia ” is located in Lucca , another, no less remarkable in execution, “Madonna” is in Bezanson, and, finally, in Vienna, in the Belvedere , one of his best works is stored - “ Introduction to the temple .
