The sky of my childhood ( kaz. Balalyk shahymnyk aspan ) is a film directed by Rustem Abdrashev [1] about the childhood of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev , based on his literary memories “Without Right and Left”, “Epicenter of the World”, “In the Center Eurasia ” [2] .

The film was shot in the Almaty region on Jailau Ushkonyr, in the village of Chemolgan , the cities of Kaskelen and Alma-Ata . At the development stage, the film was given the working title “The Sky of My Childhood,” which was subsequently decided to leave.
The premiere of the film took place in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana , later the film was shown in Alma-Ata at the Arman Cinema.
Content
Story
The film tells about the formation of the personality and character of the leader of the nation, about his first disappointments and victories, about hopes and dreams that have come true. Sultan, so called Nursultan Abishevich in childhood, from an early age dreamed of the sky - he wanted to become a pilot. By the end of his studies at school, he is given a chance to enter the Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation , but fate directs him to other heights.
