History

Group Formation

The group was founded in 2004 in Sweden. The friends met there and started to give their first concerts there. In the same year, the musicians released their first demo , which was called "Hopeless Illusions" ( doc . "Hopeless Illusions"). Their first mini-album , “ When the Sun Gave Up the Sky” ( dop. “When the Sun Leaves Heaven”) released a year later, was produced, like all underground groups of our time, by the musicians themselves (that is, samizdat ). The second EP , “The Rose Will Decay” (dubbed “Roses Will Fall Off”) was released in a similar fashion.

Collaboration with Panic & Action

Due to the great success and rapidly growing popularity in the band’s homeland, the Panic & Action label offered the band a contract. On February 4, 2009, the band released their first full-length album, entitled “ Another Year of Disaster ” ( doc. “ Another Year of Disasters ”). In 2010, the musicians toured in Germany with the band Her Bright Skies, which also signed a contract with Panic & Action. The tour consisted of 6 concerts in Hamburg , Berlin , Osnabruck , Munich , Stuttgart and Cologne . In August 2010, the group began work on their next album. The musicians worked with Frederick Nordstrom, an experienced music producer known for collaborating with In Flames, Bring Me The Horizon, and At The Gates. On March 11, 2011, the release of the second album, “ Death Dealers ” ( doc. “Bearing Death”) , took place. In the same year, the group released the single “Riot In Everyone” ( dubbed “Rebel in Everyone”). The song is a cover of Crashdiet . March 22, 2013 released the third album, “Silence the World” ( doc. “Silence the world”).

Sleepless

The single "Dark Clouds" was released on April 17, 2015. It also became known that the group broke the contract with Panic & Action (reasons were not disclosed). Initially, the release of the fourth full-length album, “Sleepless”, was scheduled for September 4, 2015, but on this day the group announced the postponement of the release date due to the high risk of cost recovery for its recording, largely due to the lack of a properly conducted promotional campaign. It also became known that due to working mistakes the album had to be recorded twice, both times at the expense of the musicians themselves. During the Russian tour, in addition to “Dark Clouds”, the group introduced two more new songs: “Carry The Weight” and “Choirs Of Absolution”. On November 19, 2015, it became known that Adept had signed an agreement with Napalm Records , which released the album on February 19, 2016.

Concerts in the CIS

From 2011 to 2013, the group gave a concert every year in St. Petersburg and Moscow . In 2015, with the support of Booking Machine Agency, the group went on a tour that included 12 Russian cities. Adept also visited Kiev and Minsk . The group first performed in Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar. Initially, the set list consisted of 15 songs, but was expanded to 17 during the tour.

In 2016, the group again visited Russia and Belarus with a headline tour in 11 cities, this time with the support of Spika Concert Agency. Also, the tour was announced as a “farewell” for guitarist Jerry Repo and drummer Gabriel Elmark, who left the lineup right after it ended.

In November 2018, a tour of Russia in 8 cities was announced together with CRYSTAL LAKE . The tour will take place in the spring of 2019.
