Valmiki ( English Valmiki National Park ; Hindi वाल्मीकि राष्ट्रीय अभयारण्य ) - one of the national parks of India. Located in West Champaran County in northwestern Bihar . The area is 335.65 km² [1] . The height of the territory above sea level varies from 125 to 880 m. It was founded in 1990. It is one of the tiger reserves of India (the only population of tigers in Bihar lives here). Other important mammals include civet and red wolf , and other species characteristic of the fauna of northern India.

The best time to visit the park is from early June to late October [2] . The nearest airport is Patna, 295 km from the park.
