Biography
Abutalib Gafurovich Gafurov was born on November 21, 1882 in a village of Shuni, Kazikumukh district [2] into a poor peasant family. In his youth, he was an artisan-departor, he visited many cities of the Caucasus . During the Civil War, sided with the Reds, fought in a partisan detachment . He participated in the fight against the counter-revolutionary formations of Imam Gotsinsky [1] .
Gafurov is one of the main characters in the novel by Rasul Gamzatov “My Dagestan” [2] .
Creativity
The first poems of the poet appeared in the almanac "Steps of the Revolution" in 1932. In 1934, a compilation of poems in Lak language “New World”) was published). Gafurov introduced rhyme into Lak versification, enriched it with an eight- syllabic syllabic size [1] .
- 1940 - a collection of poems "Happy Life".
- 1941-1945 - years of war: patriotic verses, marches, appeals, poems, satirical verses. The collection "For the Homeland", the poem "On the Legend, on the war", "Voice of Dagestan."
- 1950-1960 - collection “Honey Bee”, “Second Life”, “Mountain Springs”, “Spring Morning”. A total of 8 poems were written, more than 100 poems.
Memory
In 1982, the USSR issued a marked postal envelope with a portrait of A. Gafurov (sigillation [3] ).
