Koprivnichki-Ivanec ( Croatian Koprivnički Ivanec ) is a community with a center in the village of the same name in the north of Croatia , in the Koprivnica-Križevac County . The population is 1194 people in the village itself and 2110 people in the whole community ( 2011 ) [1] . The overwhelming majority of the population are Croats (99%) [2] . In addition to Koprivnichka-Ivanets, the community includes 4 more villages with a population from 127 to 494 people. The majority of the population is employed in agriculture.

The village is located on the Podravinsk lowland , 4 kilometers north of the town of Koprivnica , with which it is connected by a local road.
Ivanets received the name of the church parish and the church of St. John the Baptist . The coat of arms of the village depicts the baptism of Jesus by John . Supplement "Koprivnichki" village received in order to distinguish it from the city of the same name in Varaždin County . First mentioned in 1334 .
