He studied in Paris with Manuel Garcia the father , then with Manuel Garcia the son . Preferred chamber repertoire, did not perform much on stage, but gained fame in France as a propagandist and popularizer of Franz Schubert’s songs [2] . He was also the first performer of several songs by Jacques Meyerbeer [3] . He continued his concert activities until the end of his life; in a letter from 1868, Henri Vyotant recommended Geraldi to perform for Gustav Barth as “a singer of great talent in the lyrical and comic genres” [4] .
