Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), until 2013, the Korean Food and Drug Administration (Korea FDA, KFDA, 식품 의약품 안전청) is the South Korean Ministry responsible for promoting public health by monitoring food safety and quality nutrition, medicines, medical devices and cosmetics, as well as supporting the development of the food and pharmaceutical industries. The main objective is to ensure the safety of food and medicine.
