On the life and work of Prasutag before the Roman invasion of Britain in 43 AD e. nothing is known. He led the Icen tribe that lived north of Kamulodun . At first, the Icenas, led by Prasutag, resisted the Romans. However, in 47, he was defeated, along with ten tigers of other tribes [2] recognized the supreme power of the Roman emperor and provided significant assistance to the Roman administration to strengthen its position in Britain. For this, Prasutag retained his power, and the Celts-Itsen - autonomy , but he was entrusted with the protection of nearby waterways.

Subsequently, Prasutag calmly ruled the Icens, having no enemies among the other tribes of the British Celts and without enmity with the Romans. Before his death, waiting for the subsequent struggle for power and taking care of his family, Prasutag declared the heirs of his daughters and the Roman emperor Nero . After the death of Prasutag, his decision caused serious conflict and ultimately led to a major Celtic uprising in Britain .
