Sariska ( English Sariska National Park , Hindi सरिस्का राष्ट्रीय उद्यान ) - a national park in India . Located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan , 107 km from Jaipur and 200 km from Delhi . The area is 492 km², the buffer zone is 866 km². In 1958, a reserve was created on this territory, in 1979 received the status of a tiger reserve, and in 1982 - the status of a national park. On the territory of the park are the ruins of Kankwari Fort and several temples.

Vegetation is represented by arid deciduous forests, dry shrubs and grassy plains, stony territories occupy part of the area. In the northeast corner of the park is a fairly large lake Siliserh.
Mammals include species such as: Bengal cat , reed cat , leopard , caracal , striped hyena , jackal , axis , Indian zambar , nilgau , four-horned antelope , gulman , rhesus monkey . In recent years, until 2005, a small population of tigers with about 15 individuals was recorded in the park, but studies in 2005 showed that tigers in Sariska most likely did not remain at all. The main reason for the disappearance of tigers is considered poaching [1] [2] .
