Nizhnekamsk TPP-1 is a cogeneration plant located in the city of Nizhnekamsk of the Republic of Tatarstan . It is the property of TGK-16, a member of the TAIF group of companies. Nizhnekamsk TPP-1 provides thermal energy to most of Nizhnekamsk industry, the main of which is Nizhnekamskneftekhim [1] . The design of the Nizhnekamsk TPP-1 with a capacity of 1000 MW was carried out by the Lviv branch of the Teploelektroproekt Institute. The construction of the station was completed in 1977 [2] .

In 2009, electricity generation amounted to 2.96 billion kWh, heat supply with steam and hot water - 9.2 million Gcal. Specific equivalent fuel costs amounted to 300.9 g / kWh for supplied electricity in 2009, and 134.6 kg / Gcal for released heat.
