Parkdale Avenue Parkdale Avenue is a major arterial road west of downtown Ottawa , Ontario , Canada. It runs from north to south from the Ottawa River Highway, which runs along the Ottawa River , to Carling Avenue , through the Hintonberg district.
This is a very busy street providing access to the Tannis Pescher Government Building Quarter, Parkdale Market, the Ottawa City Hospital, and Central Experimental Farm . It intersects with major streets such as Scott Street , West Wellington Street , Gladstone Avenue and 417 Motorway.
It is a street with 2-lane traffic, which briefly expands to 4 lanes in the area of motorway 417, where a diamond-shaped intersection forms. Parking on this street is permitted near Tannis Pescher, as well as between Carling Avenue and Motorway 417. Ottawa Bus 6 runs along Parkdale Avenue, connecting the center of Ottawa and Elgin Street to the central west of the city. [one]
