Climate

The climate is temperate continental, with warm, humid, long summers (often hot) and mild winters (often with thaws).

History

The first mention dates back to 1783, when after the partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1772 , in the territory of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria with the capital in Lemberg , on the site of the modern village Kalinov, German colonial settlers organized the agricultural colony Kaisersdorf ( German Kaisersdorf ) [3] [4] .

The settlement was designed and built by the "cross", and received its name "Kaisersdorf" from the German "Kaiser" - the emperor and "dorf" - rural. The colonists planned the construction of the Catholic Church in this place, but for a number of reasons the church was not built at that time [5] .

The Sambir region and the Kaisersdorf settlement as part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy until the end of the First World War .

From 1919 to 1939, Kaisersdorf left for the Powiat Samborski ( Polish Powiat Samborski ) of the Lviv Voivodeship as part of the Polish Republic .

At the end of 1939, according to the Non-aggression Treaty between Germany and the Soviet Union , the territory of the former Poviat Samborsky and the settlement of Kaisersdorf came under the jurisdiction of the USSR and are part of the Ukrainian SSR with its capital in Kiev.

In the 1939-1940s, the vast majority of the German colonists of Kaisersdorf, according to the program ( German: " Heim ins Reich " ) left Galicia and left for the Third Reich .

Since the fall of 1939, the settlement of Kaisersdorf, by decision of the Soviet authorities, received the name Kalinov, previously known in Poland.

From June 1941 to August 1944, after the German attack on the USSR , Kalinov again became Kaisersdorf as part of the Sambir district, the Galicia district, until his release by the Red Army on August 7, 1944. Kaisersdorf is again Kalinov, as part of the Sambir district of the Drogobych region of the Ukrainian SSR.

May 21, 1959 Drogobych region was included in the Lviv region, forming its southern half.

Since 1991, the village of Kalinov as part of the Sambir region of the Lviv region of independent Ukraine.

Attractions
