Mabayayani is a reservoir in Tanzania, on the Sigi River. The volume of water is 7.7 km³. Surface area - 2.3 km².

In the 1970s, with the help of money from Germany [1], a dam was built to provide the nearby town of Tanga with drinking water.
The construction of the clay core dam was completed in 1978. The dam was named after the nearby village of Mabayayani . [2]
