Kiev saints as locally venerated were glorified in 1643 by Metropolitan Peter (Grave) . [2] On his instructions, the Protosynkell Patriarchate of Constantinople, Melety Sirig, wrote a service to "the Rev. fathers of Kiev-Pechersk and all the saints who had shined in Little Russia ." [3] In the XVIII century , the question was raised about the general church veneration of Kiev saints. The Holy Synod of Synod in 1762 by its decree (this decision was confirmed by decrees of 1775 and 1784) allowed the names of the Kiev saints and the seal of service in the monthly mines to be included in the church calendar . [2] However, the decree of the Synod was not fully implemented - the names of the Kiev saints were not included in the normative months, printed in the Typicon and the Investigated Psalter . The names of the saints of Kiev fell in the month of the priestly Prayer Book, the Book of Treaties (preference was given to the saints who were published in the Mine Kiev).
