Biography
A. Preobrazhensky was born on August 24 ( September 5 ), 1890 in Kaluga in a noble family. In 1900-1910 he studied at the Moscow Synodal School, then until 1914 - singing at the Moscow Conservatory ( Umberto Mazetti class). In 1914-1915 he performed in provincial opera companies. In 1916-1919, the soloist of the Moscow People’s House. He toured in Kazan , Perm and Yekaterinburg . Since 1919, the choirmaster at the State Small Opera and the Mobile Opera Our Theater (Moscow). In 1930-1936, the head of the vocal and choral staff of the printing house "Red Proletarian" and at the same time a teacher of singing in a comprehensive school. In 1932-1936, the choir master of the Bolshoi Theater , in 1936-1939, the combined Russian and Kazakh Opera ( KazATOB named after Abay ). In 1939-1948, the main choirmaster of the Swatob named after A.V. Lunacharsky . In 1940, the artistic director of UrNH . Since 1942, a teacher, in 1944-1951 the head. Department of Choir Conducting SGK named after M.P. Mussorgsky (since 1947 professor , in 1948-1949 vice-rector for academic affairs, in 1949-1950 rector ). In 1951-1952, the head of the RRHK (Moscow). In 1951-1963, professor at the conductor-choral department of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Theater .
A.V. Preobrazhensky died on August 3, 1963 in Moscow.
