The Sri Lankan army flag is an emblem on a blue and orange background. The emblem consists of the coat of arms of Sri Lanka on intersecting castan (decorative swords) with gold handles inlaid with diamonds and rubies, with an apple in the form of a lion's head with serapedia or other mythical animals as a decoration for the guard and lions in the design of the cross of the blade.
