Malik, Vladimir Kirillovich

Vladimir Kirillovich Malik (real name is Sichenko; February 21, 1921 , Novoselki , Kiev province [1] - August 31, 1998 , Lubny ) - Ukrainian Soviet writer and poet, author of adventure and historical works.

Biography

Born into a peasant family.

In 1938 he entered the philological faculty of Kiev University . Then he began to compose poetry.

With the outbreak of war, training had to be interrupted. He went to the people's militia , worked on defense work near Kiev and Kharkov , and was wounded. Since 1943 he was in concentration camps in Germany; He returned home only in October 1945.

After the war, he worked as a teacher in Yasnogorodsky secondary school. In 1950 he graduated from Kiev University in absentia. In 1953 he moved to Lubny .

The first publication in 1957 is a poetic historical tale-legend “Cranes-cranes”. This was followed by historical poems (legends):

Known as a literary critic, wrote reviews of the works of Ukrainian prose writers; released the book "Oles Donchenko" (1971) - about the life and work of the famous children's writer A. V. Donchenko .
