Biography
In 1954 he graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Technical University.
In 1983, he was elected to the parliament from the Fatherland Party :
- 1983-1989 - Minister of Public Works and Housing,
- 1989–1990 - Minister of Defense,
- 1991 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.
In 1993, he was accused of fraud and abuse of power during his work as minister of public works. In April 1995, the country's Supreme Court found him innocent and acquitted.
In 1999 he left politics.
