Buck Rogers in the 25th Century is the 1979 American science fiction film. Filmed specifically for television. In the same year, the eponymous series began to be released based on the events of the film.

Story
Buck Rogers is an American test pilot. In 1987, during a space flight, he crashes and his body is frozen. At the end of the XXV century, his space shuttle is discovered and Buck is thawed. The hero learns that a nuclear war has occurred on Earth, and people are forced to live in underground cities. Earthlings are also often attacked by alien troops led by the beautiful but evil princess Ardala. Buck enters the ranks of Earth Defense and becomes a fighter pilot.
Interesting Facts
- Dry shampoo was used to show the frozen Rogers Buck in the space shuttle. The body of the lead actor was completely covered with shampoo, so that he could not only move, but even open his eyes. In anticipation of when it will begin to take off, the actor fell asleep.
- Part of the scenes, costumes and props were taken from another fantastic picture - "Star Cruiser Galaxy"
