Geography
According to the US Census Bureau, the city’s area is 178.3 km², of which 170.2 km² is land and 8.1 km² is open water [1] . Located in the east of the central part of the state. Altitude is 5 m.
Population
According to the 2010 census, the population of the city is 103,190 people [2] .
Age structure (according to the 2000 census): under 18 years old - 26.5%; from 18 to 24 years old - 7.6%; from 25 to 44 years old - 29.6%; from 45 to 64 years old - 21.5%; over 65 years old - 14.7%. The average age of the population is 37 years. For every 100 females there are an average of 95.2 males. English is native to 88.55% of the population; Spanish - for 7.45%; French - for 0.93%; German - for 0.92%; Arabic - for 0.53%.
