“Mother” ( Latvian. Māte ) - photo by Vilis Ridzenieks . Portrait of the mourning mother of the composer Emils Darzins on the tenth anniversary of his death. In 1928, the “Mother” photo portrait received a gold medal at an exhibition in Wimbledon . It is considered the material of the Golden Fund of Latvian Photographic Art, a symbol of Latvia and one of the greatest achievements in the fine arts of the Republic.
