Biography
Maria Pavlovna Glukharyova was born on March 20, 1927 in the village of Dobroe Pole (now the village of the Khomutovsky district of the Kursk region) into a peasant family.
In 1947 she graduated from high school, after which she entered the correspondence department of the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute of the Natural Geography Department.
She began working as a teacher in the Romanov seven-year school (Kursk region), then - the head teacher of the Olkhov seven-year school.
In 1955 she moved to the city of Konstantinovka ( Donetsk region ), where from 1955 to 1957 she worked as a biology teacher at the school for working youth No. 4. In 1957 she moved to the city of Feodosia ( Crimea ), where she taught geography from 1957 to 1960 at school No. 6, and from 1960 to 2002 - at school No. 2. In the work she used advanced teaching methods, technical teaching aids, various manuals, and also used excursions and trips with children in her work. Created a school museum, a university of pedagogical knowledge for parents.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1978, Maria Pavlovna Glukharyova was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle medal for great achievements in the education and communist education of students.
Three times elected deputy of Theodosia city council of people's deputies.
Lives in Feodosia.
