Territorial prelature of Isabela ( Latin: Praelatura Territorialis Isabellopolitana ) is a territorial prelature of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Isabela , Philippines . The territorial prelature of Isabela is part of the Zamboanga Metropolitanate . Basilan Province is part of the jurisdiction of the San Jose Apostolic Vicariate in Mindoro. The Cathedral of the territorial prelature of Isabela is the Church of St. Elizabeth of Portugal .

History
On October 12, 1963, Pope Paul VI issued the Providens Dei bull , which established the territorial prelature of Isabela, separating it from the Zamboanga Archdiocese.
