Biography
Dohasan or Little Cliff was born around 1790 . His father was also known by that name. After the Osageji inflicted a terrible slaughter on Kiowa in 1833 , he headed the tribe and became the supreme leader. Dohasan helped establish peace between Kiowa and Osage. For a relatively short time, he strengthened the position of his people, making peace with the Cheyenne and Arapaho .
Since 1840, Dohasan has led raids against white settlers several times. In 1853, he made peace with the American authorities. In exchange, Kiowa received annual payments of goods for 18 thousand dollars over 10 years.
In subsequent years, the world was broken. Dohasan died in 1866 on the Kiow reservation .
