Inhabited the average Eocene , about 45 million years ago, in North America. The remains were found, in particular, on the territory of the John Dei National Fossil Monument in the US state of Oregon .
The length of the body was about 1.2-1.8 meters without taking into account the large tail, that is, it was approaching the size of the modern puma . He had short legs with wide feet, which probably indicated a poor ability to run, but good - to swim.
