Euler Hermes is an insurance company , the largest company in the world specializing in export credit insurance . Most of the shares are held by the French insurer Allianz France, which in turn is owned by the largest German insurer Allianz SE . The share of Euler Hermes is 34% (2011) of the world export credit insurance market [1] .

Having been engaged in credit insurance and financial risk protection for more than 100 years, Euler Hermes has developed a full range of services for managing accounts receivable of companies. The company covers risks that may arise in case of delay in payment, as well as as a result of bankruptcy of the buyer. These risks are called “commercial risks”. Credit insurance covers obligations under standard contracts for the delivery of goods or services with deferred payment, as well as other types of risks [2] .

The company’s database contains information on more than 40 million companies worldwide. The concluded credit risk insurance agreements cover the supply of goods and services to 200 countries [2] .
