The Great Chronicle of Poland, Russia and their neighbors (The Great or Vast Chronicle of Poles or Lechites; the Great Poland Chronicle) ( lat. Chronica magna seu longa polonorum seu lechitarum , also Chronica Poloniae Maioris ) is an extensive Polish historical compilation compiled in Latin in 30- X years of the XIV century and describing the events from the resettlement of Slavs in Poland to 1273 (the narrative breaks off on the report of the marriage of young Przemyslaw II ). It is preserved in 9 lists of the XV century. [1] Narration before the beginning The 13th century is based on the chronicle of Gall Anonymous , setting out the history of the Boleslaw Krivoustoi dynasty until 1113 and the composition of Vincent Kadlubek , where the story was brought to 1202 . In writing the continuation, the Poznan bishop Boguhval and the Poznan bushush Godislav Bashko took part. Moreover, the issue of authorship and the time of creation of the final edition of the Chronicle has not yet been resolved.
