The Archdiocese of Lipa ( Latin: Archidioecesis Lipensis ) is the archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in Lipa , Philippines . The dioceses of Boac , Gumaki , Lucena and the territorial prelature of the Infanta are included in the metropolis of Lipa. The cathedral of the archdiocese of Lipa is the church of St. Sebastian .

History
On April 10, 1910, the Holy See established the diocese of Lipa, separating it from the diocese of Cáceres (today - the Archdiocese of Cáceres ). On the same day, the diocese of Lipa entered the Metropolitanate of Manila .
In the following years, the diocese of Lipa transferred its territory for the construction of new church structures:
- July 2, 1936 - to the apostolic prefecture of Mindoro (today - the Apostolic Vicariate of Kalapan );
- March 28, 1950 - dioceses of Lucena ;
- April 25, 1950 - the territorial prelature of the Infanta ;
- November 25, 1961 - the diocese of Imus ;
- November 28, 1966 - diocese of San Pablo .
On June 20, 1972, Pope Paul VI issued the bull Qui summi Numinis , which raised the diocese of Lipa to the rank of archdiocese.
