Karakovsky, Vladimir Abramovich

Born February 14, 1932 in Sverdlovsk . Parents - teachers Abram Zalmanovich (Zinovievich ^[1] ) Karakovsky (1893, Sebezh - 1938, Chelyabinsk) and Roza Petrovna Karakovskaya. Father, the first director of the Chelyabinsk school No. 37, was repressed and shot in 1938 (rehabilitated in 1958).

In 1953 he graduated from the Chelyabinsk Pedagogical Institute , where his teacher was V.E. Gusev ^[2] . He began to work as a teacher of literature and the Russian language of secondary school No. 48. Since 1962 he worked at Chelyabinsk school No. 1. In 1963, Vladimir Abramovich was appointed to the position of director of school No. 1 named after F. Engels. Since 1977, the director of Moscow secondary school No. 825. In 1988-1991, he was chairman of the All-Russian Council for Public Education ^[3] . One of the authors of the pedagogy of cooperation . At the end of December 1988, he was elected at the All-Union Congress of Teachers to the All-Union Council for Public Education at the USSR State Committee for Public Education, later V. A. Karakovsky became the chairman of this council. In 1989 he defended his doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences on the topic: "The educational system of the school as an object of pedagogical management." The corresponding member of RAO was elected on December 20, 1990, and is a member of the Department of General Secondary Education ^[4] . In 2006, V. A. Karakovsky became an honorary doctor of the Chelyabinsk Pedagogical Institute ^[5] .

In 2011, V. A. Karakovsky resigned as director and worked at school No. 825 as deputy director for science ^[6] .

V. A. Karakovsky died on March 3, 2015 as a result of his illness. ^[7] . He was buried at the Novo-Lyubertsy cemetery in the city of Lyubertsy, Moscow Region ^[8] .

On the anniversary of the death of Vladimir Abramovich, in March 2016, a documentary was filmed about him with the recollections of graduates and teachers ^[9]

• Lenin Komsomol Prize ( 1986 ) - for great achievements in pedagogical activity, significant dedication for the development of initiative, amateur initiative, and the work of pioneers and Komsomol members

In 1963, in the Chelyabinsk school No. 1, he began to apply the methodology of collective creative education (the communard method ). Continued its development in Moscow.

• 1. (1977-1981) - a diagnosis was made of the teaching and student groups, their activities, the relationship of the school with society.
• 2. (1981-1986) - the system is stabilizing, its structural components are clearly formed, self-government bodies have been created.
• 3. (1986-1988) - The development of the educational system. Resolving the contradictions between educational and extracurricular activities by changing the leading activities.
