Having gained some fame in engravings from the works of R. van der Weyden, M. Coxie , Fr. Floris and J. Mostart , he went to Italy , visited Titian in Venice , giving him the opportunity to reproduce many of his best works, and then settled in Rome , where he performed a great number of engravings from Raphael , P. , which were valuable until the beginning of the 20th century . Caldari , F. Salviati , F. Baroccio and other Italian painters, and also started an extensive school of engravers, from which a number of skilled craftsmen came out.
In addition to founding this school, his merit lies in the fact that with the help of advanced techniques of hard work, he began to give engravings more significant than before, sizes, greater freedom of touch and proximity to painting, with the help of which he increased their distribution. The total number of his works is about 150.
