Villon studies law in Rouen and then works as a notary for some time. In 1894, he leaves Normandy and arrives in Paris, where he enters the Higher School of Fine Arts. In 1894-1906, the artist as a cartoonist collaborated with various Parisian newspapers and magazines (for example, Gil Blas , Chat Noir and L'Assiette au beurre ). In addition, he creates a series of posters in the style of Toulouse-Lautrec - for the period from 1899 to 1909 he issues 60 color posters.
