Zhdanovsky (unofficial name - Kolos ) is a village in the Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region , the administrative center of the Bolsheelninsky Village Council [1] . The village has a post office, a branch of Sberbank [2] , two cafes, a library, a cultural center [3] , about 20 shops, there is also a secondary school and three kindergartens. The population is 5176 people for 2012.

In the village is located JV "Zhdanovsky" - the largest agricultural enterprise in the region [4] , the machine-building enterprise "Silver Mirrors" [5] , and the cable plant ELKAB [6] are operating.
There is a tendency to turn the village into a sleeping area of Nizhny Novgorod .
Buses 204, 215, 216, 225 and minibuses 302 and 304 go through the village to Nizhny Novgorod. Bus 272 Kstovo- MEGA also runs to the city of Kstovo .
Famous People
- Mukhin, Victor Petrovich (1924-1983) - a participant in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, Hero of the Soviet Union . He lived in the village. At the house on the street School, 22, where Viktor Petrovich lived, a memorial plaque was installed.
