The source is in the area of the villages of Leushkino and Apolisheno . It falls into Shoshu 32 km from the estuary on the left bank, near the village of Brednevo . Length - 43 km, catchment area - 492 km².

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Verkhnevolzhsky Basin District , the water sector of the river is the Volga from the city of Tver to the Ivankovsky hydroelectric complex ( Ivankovsky reservoir ), the river sub-basin - the basins of the tributaries of the (Upper) Volga to the Rybinsk reservoir. The river basin - (Upper) Volga to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Oka basin) [2] .
