The diocese of Borongana ( lat. Dioecesis Boronganensis ) is the diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with the center in the city of Borongan , Philippines . The Diocese of Borongana enters the Palo Metropolis . The cathedral of the diocese of Borongan is the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin .

History

On October 22, 1960, Pope John XXIII issued the Quod sacri Calbayogani bull , which established the Borongan Diocese, isolating it from the Kalbiog Diocese.

On December 4, 1974, the Diocese of Borongan transferred part of its territory for the construction of a new Diocese of Qatarman .
