History
On June 12, 1955, Pope Pius XII released the bull Venisse Christum , which he established the Apostolic Prefecture of Iba, isolating it from the apxarchiparchy of San Fernando.
On November 15, 1982, Pope John Paul II issued the bull Cum Decessores , which transformed the territorial prelature of Iba into a diocese.
