The US Embassy in Kuibyshev is the former diplomatic mission of the United States of America in the USSR, located in the city of Kuibyshev in 1941-1943 [1] . The embassy was located in a dilapidated building at the address: st. Nekrasovskaya , 62 [2] . The US ambassador to the USSR, at the beginning of the evacuation, Lawrence Steingardt left for Kuibyshev in late 1941, leaving the second secretary and some employees in Moscow [3] . However, he was soon appointed US ambassador to Turkey, and on February 14, 1942, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt appointed William Stanley as ambassador to the USSR. An embassy was established at the embassy, endowed with emergency powers [4] .
