Biography
From the nobles. After graduating from St. Petersburg University, he served in the Ministry of Railways [1] . In 1913 he was appointed manager of the Operational Department of the Office of Inland Waterways and Highways, and on January 28, 1916, he was awarded the rank of state adviser [1] . After the February Revolution, refused the offer of Prince Lvov to take officeComrade Minister of Railways, replied that as a loyal subject to His Majesty , the Provisional Government was not recognized. During the Civil War, he was a member of the anti-Bolshevik underground. Since 1921 he worked as a consultant for water management. He was married, had three children.
Operation Trust
Since 1921, Alexander Aleksandrovich Yakushev - a high-ranking head of the People’s Commissariat of Foreign Trade [2] . He had contacts with representatives of the White movement, which was the reason for his arrest by the Cheka. In the same year, A. Kh. Artuzov was turned over, headed the political council of a legendary underground organization - “Monarchist Association of Central Russia” (ICRC); - and soon became one of the protagonists of the famous KGB operation “Trust”.
After Operation Trust
After the operation "Trust", Yakushev in 1927 worked in the People's Commissariat of Railways , was engaged in the problems of water transport [3] . In 1934 he was arrested, sentenced to 10 years in camps, died in the Gulag , February 12, 1937 from myocardial infarction. Rehabilitated in the second half of the 50s, posthumously [3] .
Interesting Facts
- Having learned about the true purpose of the Trust, General Kutepov promised in the heat of the day to quit military-political activity and leave to work as a simple carpenter [4] .
