History
The village of Burelom arose at the end of the 18th century. The name comes from the dialect "scrap" ("windbreak") - a meadow with a hummock, covered with a shallow forest.
Information about the village of Burelom first appears in the late XVIII - early XIX centuries as the possession of the landowner Alexander Altufiev . After the death of Alexander Altufiev, the third part of the estate went as a dowry for the daughter of Glafir to the Lebedyansky police officer I.V. Omelyanovich. Another part of the estate remained with the son of Alexander Altufiev, Alexander Alexandrovich, and was then transferred to his heirs. So, according to the IX revision, Alexander Nikolayevich Altufev (Alexander Alexandrovich’s nephew) owned 8 peasant families - 19 male serf souls, 15 female souls and several mills on the Snova River in the village of Zhernovnoye .
In 1926 - 24 yards and 118 residents.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the inhabitants of the village of Burelom were in the parish of the Intercession Church of the village of Zhernovnoye .
Until 1928, the village of Burelom belonged to the Sergiev volost of the Yelets district of the Oryol province . In 1928, the village became part of the Dolgorukovsky district of the Yelets district of the Central Black Earth region . After the separation of the Central Black Sea District in 1934, the Dolgorukovsky district became part of the Voronezh region , in 1935 - the Kursk region , and in 1939 - the Oryol region . After the formation of the Lipetsk region on January 6, 1954, the Dolgorukovsky district was included in its composition.
