Royd ( Wall. Rhoedd ) ( 560/580 - 638 ) - Rin's son, grandson of Urien , King Reged . His father, Rin, died with his grandfather Urien in 586 during the siege of Lindisfarne . In 616, Royd's cousin, Elphin, died. Royd succeeded him. Royd's daughter, Rimmelt, married King of Northumbria Oswiu [1] , who rightfully succeeded Reged after the death of Royd in 638.
